El Da Sensei - Try Again EP (Review)

El Da Sensei - Try Again EP (Review) (Essence of Hip-Hop)

"Try Again" is the latest EP from New Jersey emcee El Da Sensei (who is one half of the legendary hip-hop crew The Artifacts for those that don't know). El holds the entire EP down solo vocally, but the project does feature production from Joc Max, D Smooth and House Shoes as well as some scratches by Damu The Fudgemunk. It was released on June 10, 2014 via Redefinition Records.

El Da Sensei - Try Again

El Da Sensei (from the legendary hip-hop group The Artifacts) is gearing up to drop a new 10" EP on Redefinition Records and decided to release the title track from the EP a few days back. The song is real ill and features the New Jeruz emcee spitting over a dope piano instrumental that had my head nodding the whole time. "Try Again" will feature three new vocal tracks as well as the instrumental versions of each and is set to drop on June 10, 2014. For now, peep the single and tracklisting below.
1) Try Again
2) Smoke To Me
3) Last Round
4) Try Again (Instrumental)
5) Smoke To Me (Instrumental)
6) Last Round (Instrumental)

El Da Sensei - Show Stoppa

El Da Sensei - Show Stoppa (Real Hip-hop)

Coalmine Record's delivers what I believe to be the second single from their upcoming 10 year anniversary compilation album "Unearthed." The song is called "Show Stoppa" and features none other than New Jeruz emcee El Da Sensei (from the legendary hip-hop group Artifacts) rocking over a head nodding instrumental with cuts by DJ Devastate. After you check out the track, make sure to peep the first single, "Get Down", which features Pharoahe Monch bodying an ill M-Phazes instrumental. "Unearthed" is scheduled to drop on May 13th.

Sensei 'n Chillow - "We Bring It Live" (featuring John Robinson and Jeffrey Jefferson)

For the 3rd album in his collaborative 'n Chillow series of albums, Belgium producer/DJ/beatmaker Chillow teams up with Artifacts emcee El Da Sensei to bring you Sensei 'n Chillow. The full album is currently in progress and set for release in early 2014, but for now you can check out the first single "We Bring It Live", which features John Robinson (Lil Sci of Scienz of Life) and Jeffrey Jefferson. This shit is fire. Check it out below.
