CunninLynguists - Dying Breed and In The City (feat. Zumbi of Zion I)

One of my favorite hip-hop groups, CunninLynguists, are gearing up to release their latest project, "Strange Journey Vol. 3", on April 1st and I can't wait to hear what they have in store for us this time. The group recently released two tracks from the album and both of them are bangers. The first song is called "Dying Breed" and features Deacon and Natti rhyming over a crazy Thomax instrumental. This shit is fire.

The second joint is called "In The City" and features Deacon sharing the mic with MC Zumbi (of Zion I) over a beautifully somber Kno instrumental. Very nice.

Check back for my full review of "Strange Journey Vol. 3" when it drops.

Built To Fade - To Dust (Album)

Built To Fade is a group that features vocals from Dane Ferguson, Zoƫ Wick and Anna Wise (of Sonnymoon) with production by Kno (of CunninLynguists). Their album, "To Dust", was just released on November 12, 2013 and the shit is fire. The beats are ethereal and the vocals are just beautiful. I must admit that I was surprised how dope this album turned out. Check out the video for the track "Angel" as well as the full album below.

Tonedeff - Polymer

Some information about Tonedeff's new album "Polymer" was recently released via the QN5 website. It seems he is going to release "Polymer" as four separate EPs (or molecules) which, when combined, will form the final album. The first EP, entitled "Glutton" will be released digitally on February 26, 2013 and will deal "with the concept of excess and addiction over self-produced uptempo tracks."

This will be Tonedeff's first album since "Archetype", which was released way back in 2005, so I'm pretty excited to finally get to hear some new songs by him. To tide you over, here is a track from the unreleased "Chico and the Man" collaboration album. Its hard to go wrong with Tonedeff on the vocals and Kno on the beat.
